Idea:

“Permian Garden” is an audio-visual live performance, which was held on 19.02.2022 on “Voice of the Urals” at the Ural branch of the National Centre of Contemporary Art (Yekaterinburg, Russia). 


The visual part of the performance is a collaboration work with Sonya Killmann (UK).

Techniques:

The soundscape of Small river’ valley (Perm) & and Garden “Sad soloview” (Perm) consists of local birds singing, sounds of the river Ilinka & algorithmic sounds with neural network production of harmonic samples.

Materials:
  • field recordings,
  • satellite images of the city of Perm, collected using the Sentinel hub GIS service.

Performance “Permian Garden” was held with the financial support of NORPEXAL Foundation .

The project “Voice of the Urals” and the Young Artist Laboratory is carried out jointly with ANO “Standard 2.0” and with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

The event is held as part of the international program UK – Russia Creative Bridge 2021-2022 with the support of the Department of Culture and Education of the British Embassy in Moscow.
